An alarm, not a notification
A couple of minutes before a meeting starts, your phone sounds and keeps sounding until you dismiss it. All-day events get a quiet heads-up in the morning instead.

What it can and cannot see
HeyCalendar asks Google for one narrow permission: the ability to create its own calendar and manage that calendar only.
It cannot read, change, or delete the calendars you already have. Not your work calendar, not your personal one. The only calendar it can touch is the one it made for you, and you can delete that at any time.
Your calendar links and settings are stored so the sync can run every five minutes. Access tokens and notification keys are encrypted. You can export everything, or delete your account and all of it, from the dashboard. Full privacy policy.
